BOONEVILLE – Northeast Mississippi Community College opened spring practice on Tuesday as coach Ricky Smith begins preparing for his third season with the Tigers.
Northeast finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 2-7, with three of those games going into overtime. The Tigers went 2-4 in the MACJC North Division record, with victories against Itawamba and Holmes.
Smither and his staff will look to improve that record this fall with help from players like QB Clint Wilson (Olive Branch) who started all nine games for the Tigers last season.
