Northeast Mississippi Community College’s golf team shares the first day lead with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) State Golf Tournament at Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond.
Northeast and Mississippi Gulf Coast both shot a 289 on Monday to lead the event and have a 12-stroke advantage over third-place Northwest Miss. (301).
Blake Hatfield (Booneville) leads the way in the tournament with a 4-under 68. Brandon Robbins (Corinth) shot even par for the Tigers while Daniel Singh (Haleyville, Ala.), Austin Holt (New Albany) and Stephen Poole (Saltillo) shot 73, 76 and 79, respectively on opening day.
Second day action of the MACJC State Golf Tournament will tee off at 8:30 a.m. in Raymond.
