Northwest comeback falls short

SENATOBIA – Down 24-0 at halftime, Northwest Community College’s valiant comeback in the second half would fall three points shorts to the No. 5 team in the country.
Pearl River Community College held on to beat 15th-ranked Northwest 38-35 at Bobby Franklin Field Thursday night.
Casey Weston was 24 of 50 passing for 421 yards and three touchdowns. He was picked off twice.
Stacey Lake had a 41-yard interception return for Northwest.
Northwest plays at Itawamba next Thursday at 7 p.m.
