OXFORD – Noxubee County wide receiver Vincent Sanders will be among a number of key prospects to take official recruiting visits to Ole Miss this weekend.
In a race some consider too close to call, Sanders lists Florida State and Mississippi State along with Ole Miss as schools he’s most considering.
Sanders told Rebelsports.net that it’s not a given he’ll play college football in Mississippi.
Rivals rates Sanders as a four-star recruit, the No. 2 prospect in the state and the No. 15 receiver in the nation.
If Ole Miss lands Sanders, it would be the second highly rated Noxubee receiver in two years to sign with the Rebels. Sanders would join high school teammate Pat Patterson.
With signing day on Feb. 3, Ole Miss coach are working hard to add an impact cornerback.
That could be Florida prospect Tony Grimes, who is visiting this weekend. Grimes, of Hollywood, Fla., is rated a three-star prospect.
While Delray Beach, Fla., wide receiver Quadarias Mireless remains listed among the Ole Miss commits, Miami has gotten back into the mix.
Defensive linemen Bryon Bennett of Madison and Carlos Thompson of Hollandale are also visiting this weekend.
Bennett is already committed.
