OXFORD – Ole Miss jumped three spots to No. 21 when this week’s Baseball America Top 25 was released Monday, and the Rebels will put their six-game win streak on the line today against Memphis.
First pitch at Swayze Field is 6:30 p.m., and the game is the last of eight in a row to begin the season at home.
Ole Miss is on the road later this week against Tulane.
Junior left-hander Matt Tracy will pitch for the Rebels. Tracy (1-0) will be making his third appearance, his second start. He has a 0.96 earned run average in 9 1-3 innings.
Freshman outfielder Tanner Mathis currently leads the team in hitting at .500.
Memphis comes in 2-4 with losses to Middle Tennessee, UT-Martin, Toledo and Pittsburgh all by one run.
