Ole Miss baseball opens home slate today

OleMissLogoOXFORD – After a 3-0 start to the 2014 season on the road, the Ole Miss baseball team opens its home schedule today.

First pitch at Swayze Field against Tennessee-Martin is set for 4 p.m.

The Rebels combined strong pitching and timely hitting in winning 7-0, 11-1 and 8-2 against Stetson. Senior catcher Will Allen led the Rebels’ offensively, going 6-for-11 with 10 RBI.

The Ole Miss pitching staff allowed only one run over the first 25 innings.

Tennessee-Martin dropped three games at UAB on opening weekend.

Ole Miss continues play at home this weekend with three games against Georgia State. First pitch is 4 p.m. on Friday then 1:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
