OXFORD – The Ole Miss baseball Rebels had a nine-game win streak snapped at Tulane in a 12-4 loss Sunday, the only bad news in an otherwise successful week.
The Rebels went 3-1, and the series win at Tulane – with victories 6-4 Friday and 5-1 Saturday – jumped them three spots to No. 18 in this week’s Baseball America top 25.
The Rebels (9-2) are back in action tonight and Wednesday against Austin Peay University at Swayze Field game time both days is 6:30 p.m.
The Governors are 8-3 and are coming off three wins over the weekend in their own tournament, the last against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
This weekend Ole Miss welcomes No. 10 Louisville, coached by former Ole Miss assistant Dan McDonnell, for the final series before SEC play begins March 19. The Rebels open conference play at Kentucky.
