Ole Miss basketball at Western Kentucky today

OleMissLogoThe Ole Miss men’s basketball team will face a tall task in trying to avoid its second-straight loss.

As the Rebels’ football team plays in Nashville for the Music City Bowl, the basketball team will be just up the road in Bowling Green, Ky., against Western Kentucky.

Tip-off at Diddle Arena (7,326) is 7 p.m. There will be live video stream at ESPN3.com.

The Rebels (8-3) are coming off a 79-76 home loss to Mercer last Sunday.

Western Kentucky (7-4) is unbeaten at home, its latest win a come-from-behind victory over Murray State just before the holiday break.

The Toppers have beaten Southern Mississippi, and their four road losses are to Louisville, Marshall, Wichita State and Southern Illinois.

Junior guard T.J. Price, a second-team All-Sun Belt selection last year, is averaging 16.1 points for the Toppers, who have a plus-2.8 rebound margin.

The Rebels have been outrebounded by their last three opponents.

Ole Miss is led by its guards, Marshall Henderson averaging 18.7 points a game and Jarvis Summers 16.2.
