OXFORD – Ole Miss’ Cotton Bowl Champion football team will be honored at Thursday’s men’s basketball game against LSU, as Bowl representatives will be presenting the trophy to head coach Houston Nutt and the squad at halftime. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT at Tad Smith Coliseum, and tickets are available at OleMissSports.com.

Fans are asked to join the Rebel basketball team in wearing red for the nationally televised game on ESPN. Red t-shirts will be given out to the first 1,500 fans, courtesy of Coca-Cola.

The Cotton Bowl trophy celebration was originally slated for the Jan. 30 Arkansas game, but inclement weather forced the game to be moved to the following day and the presentation to a later date.

With the 21-7 victory over No. 18 Oklahoma State in the 2010 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, the Rebel football team recorded consecutive nine-win seasons for the first time since 1961-62 and back-to-back January bowl victories for the first time since 1960-61. Ole Miss finished 20th in the final national rankings.
