After a day off on Wednesday, both Ole Miss and Mississippi State will get back to work today on the football practice field.
Today’s afternoon session – open to the public – will be the fifth workout for the Rebels, whose efforts on offense pleased head coach Houston Nutt on Tuesday. They’ll scrimmage on Friday morning.
Sophomore Nathan Stanley and freshman Raymond Cotton split time at quarterback behind the first-unit line on Tuesday.
“Right now we have just one line we feel really good about,” Nutt said, “so we have been trying to give the quarterbacks equal time behind the first line.”
MSU will have its fifth workout, also open to the public, today at 3:45 p.m. The Bulldogs will scrimmage on Saturday.
