Ole Miss, MSU soccer teams play for Magnolia Cup today

OXFORD – A possible berth in the SEC soccer tournament will be on the line today when Ole Miss hosts Mississippi State for the Magnolia Cup at 7 p.m.
Both the Rebels and Bulldogs are battling for eighth place in the conference standings in the regular-season finale.
Ole Miss (7-10-1, 3-7 SEC) can clinch with a win today coupled with an Auburn win or tie at Alabama. Rafaelle Souza leads the Rebels with nine goals and seven assists for a total of 25 points.
Mississippi State (6-9-3, 3-6-1) can clinch a spot in the tournament with a win or tie today combined with an Alabama loss to Auburn.
Bulldog goalkeeper Skylar Rosson ranks first in the SEC and fifth nationally with 122 saves.
MSU defeated Ole Miss 2-1 last season to snap the Rebels four-game win streak in the series.
