ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Ole Miss junior Jonathan Randolph is tied for third, one stroke back, heading into today’s final round of the SEC men’s golf championship.
Randolph shot a 2-under 68 on Saturday and is at 3-under 137. He’s trying to become the first league champion from Ole Miss since Lan Gooch in 1988.
South Carolina’s George Bryan IV (68) and Alabama’s Hunter Hamrick (67) share the lead.
The Rebels improved by four strokes over Friday and are in a tie for sixth at 572. Georgia (560) holds the overall lead, with Arkansas (564) second.
Mississippi State’s Lee Heaton shot a 72 and is tied for eighth at 141. The Bulldogs added 10 strokes over Friday’s first round and slipped to 10th place.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Ole Miss senior Sara Grantham fired a 2-under 29 at North River Yacht Club on Saturday to stand third overall at 139. The Rebels as a team added 14 strokes from Friday and slipped to eighth.
Alabama and Vanderbilt share the lead. Mississippi State cut eight strokes off its first-round score but remains in 12th place.
