Ole Miss will pay five assistant football coaches a total of more than $850,000 next season.

Contract details were released by the university after a request by The Associated Press.

Linebackers coach Tom Allen will make $200,000 next year, running backs coach Derrick Nix will make $175,000, defensive line coach Chris Kiffin will make $170,000, tight ends coach Maurice Harris will make $170,000 and receivers coach Grant Heard will make $150,000.

All are one-year deals that expire March 31, 2013. The contracts are all worth slightly more because they began when the coaches were hired in December or January.

Ole Miss said it did not yet have contract details available for Matt Luke, Wesley McGriff, Dan Werner or Dave Wommack.

Nix is the only holdover from previous coach Houston Nutt’s staff.
