Ole Miss football signee Evan Swindall helped lead Team USA to its convincing 41-3 victory over Team Canada in Sunday’s gold medal game of the inaugural 2009 IFAF Junior World Championship in Canton, Ohio on Sunday.
In the process, Swindall was named first team All-Tournament for his play on the offensive line as selected by the head coaches of the eight competing teams. The Lafayette, Ga., native started all three games at center for Team USA, as the Red, White and Blue posted a perfect 3-0 record and outscored opponents by a combined score of 174-3.
Swindall was one of 45 graduating high school seniors chosen to represent their country as members of Team USA.
