Ole Miss signee's case continued

FLORA — Ole Miss football signee Tobias Singleton’s court case on charges of felony malicious mischief and misdemeanor simple assault and domestic violence has been continued.

No plea was entered during Monday’s hearing at Flora Municipal Court. Lawyers for both parties asked for the continuance. A date for the next hearing hasn’t been set.

Singleton’s attorney Stephen Montagnet said it was in the “best interest of everyone” to have more time before the initial court date. Singleton said the charges “aren’t true” and that he’s “looking forward to playing football at Ole Miss.”

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver played at Madison County High School and is rated a four-star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com.
