Ole Miss sprinter Young finishes 4th in NCAA 200

DES MOINES, Iowa – Ole Miss junior Isiah Young, the 200-meter SEC champion, raced to a fourth-place finish in the event on Saturday, the last day of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Drake Stadium.
Earlier in the meet, Ole Miss teammate Ricky Robertson finished in a tie for sixth place in the high jump.
Ole Miss head coach Joe Walker oversaw his final NCAA Championships with Ole Miss after 30 years at the helm.
The Mississippi State men’s 4×400-meter relay team – Emanuel Mayers, Tavaris Tate, Daundre Barnaby and James Harris – finished eighth in Saturday’s finals. Earlier, MSU’s Marcus Jackson finished fifth in the high jump and Jody-Ann Muir finished sixth in the 400.
Ganna Demydova of Southern Miss won the women’s triple jump on Saturday with a meet-record 46-7 1/4.
The SEC captured both overall titles, as Florida brought home the men’s championship just ahead of LSU, while the LSU women held off Oregon to claim the crown.
