Ole Miss visits MSU in women’s basketball

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State and Ole Miss renew their women’s basketball rivalry today at 2 p.m. at Humphrey Coliseum.

MSU (17-10, 4-9 SEC) plays its last two home games this week. No. 15 Kentucky visits on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs have won six straight at home in the series. Ole Miss leads overall, 63-23.

Ole Miss won the previous meeting, Jan. 23 in Oxford, by an 87-85 score in overtime. But the Rebels (10-17, 1-12) have lost seven in a row since then.

Junior center Martha Alway leads MSU in scoring (15.5), rebounding (8.3) and blocked shots (2.5). Junior forward Tia Flareu leads Ole Miss in scoring (17.0) and rebounding (SEC-best 9.7).
