CONWAY, S.C. – Marshall Henderson had 19 points as he returned from the first part of his suspension to lead Ole Miss to a 72-70 win over Coastal Carolina on Saturday night.
The Rebels (2-0) led just 60-58 with 4:03 to go when Henderson buried a 3-pointer. Then after the Rebels missed a shot on the next possession, he stole a pass in the backcourt and dunked it to put Ole Miss up 63-58 with just over three minutes to go.
Henderson’s teammates missed five of 10 free throws down the stretch, but Josh Cameron’s tying 3-point attempt for Coastal Carolina (1-2) rattled in and out with nine seconds left.
Henderson was 6-of-16 from the field and 4-of-8 on 3-pointers.
