Ole Miss women face tall order at No. 6 Kentucky

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team faces a tall order tonight if it is going to stop a four-game SEC losing streak – No. 6 Kentucky.
Tipoff against the Wildcats (20-2, 9-0 SEC) is at 6 p.m., at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington.
Ole Miss hasn’t won since taking a 69-55 decision at Alabama on Jan. 15.
Meanwhile, Kentucky has survived every SEC challenge, led by guard A’dia Mathies, who is averaging 15.4 points and 5.4 rebounds a game.
Kentucky is giving up just 57.1 points a game.
The Rebels (12-10, 2-7 SEC) have been led all season by point guard Valencia McFarland (13.6 ppg) and center Nikki Byrd (13.1 ppg).
The problem has been finding help for the Rebels’ top two scorers.
McFarland and Byrd have combined for 589 points – 44 percent of the team’s scoring. No other player averages more than 6.0 points a game.
The Rebels are coming off a 67-54 home loss against Auburn last Sunday.
