Ole Miss women go for first SEC win this year tonight

OXFORD – The Ole Miss women’s basketball team goes for its first SEC win of the season tonight against Florida.
Tip-off a Tad Smith Coliseum is 7:05 p.m. Both teams are 10-4 overall, 0-1 in SEC play.
The Rebels are coming off an 83-44 loss to LSU, while Florida lost 59-56 to No. 6 Kentucky.
Ole Miss is led by forward Nikki Byrd with 14.6 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. Sophomore point guard Valencia McFarland is averaging 13.2 points and 5.6 assists.
The series is tied at five over the last 10 games. Ole Miss won 61-59 in Gainesville last season.
Forward Jennifer George leads the Gators in scoring (13.6 ppg) and in rebounding (10.0 rpg).
