On some sunnier day, Wave’s game will end

Tupelo High’s 7-6 baseball loss in 11 innings Tuesday night to Columbus is the Golden Wave’s longest completed game of the baseball season.
However, the team’s longest non-complete game, remains “to be continued” because of weather delays.
Tupelo’s home game on Saturday against Pontotoc – the Golden Wave led 2-0 – was suspended in the top of the fourth inning because of rain.
Wednesday’s attempt to finish the game was stopped before it started because of cold weather and rain. A second makeup date will be announced.
