Dorsey wild game supper Saturday night
Bethel Baptist Church in Dorsey will host a wild game supper Saturday night at 6.
The event will serve as a fundraiser for the church’s children’s ministry. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youngsters 12 and under.
Wild game dishes are expected to include elk, deer, hog, squirrel, crappie, bass, catfish and more. Turkey and pork will also be served.
Highlights of the event will include Greg Briggs, of Mossy Oak, who’ll share some of his experiences from the hunting world and from life, fishing tips from Clay Coleman of Clay’s Bait and Tackle, free whitetail deer scoring conducted by trained professionals and music from the gospel and bluegrass band Breaking Grass.

Prescribed fire class at Black Prairie March 2
State officials will host a prescribed burning workshop at Black Prairie Wildlife Management Area in Lowndes County March 2. Registration is $10 and pre-registration is required by February 25.
The workshop, while developed for private landowners, is open to anyone interested in forest or wildlife management.
