PINE GROVE – Pine Grove’s Britt Lindley missed his first two shots against the Thrasher Rebels. He didn’t miss many more.

Friday, Lindley connected on nine 3-pointers in the first half and 12 for the game to finish with a career-high 48 points as the Panthers rolled past the Rebels 86-46 for their first Division 1-1A win.

“I just felt like everything I shot was going in,” Lindley said.

The senior guard made six shots from beyond the arc in the first quarter and his first two of the second before a miss. He sprinkled in a few 2-pointers for 35 points at the half. Pine Grove led 52-17.

“I don’t even know how to describe it,” added Lindley. “I wasn’t thinking about it. They were finding me on my spots and I was just putting it up.”

Lindley added 13 points in the third quarter and sat the fourth. He was 12-for-18 from 3-point land.

“He’s been feeling it,” said Pine Grove coach Joe Dan Roberts. “He was just shooting the lights out and all you can do is let him go and just ride it.”

Garrett Garner added 14 points for Pine Grove (7-13, 1-3). Blake Burgess led Thrasher with 22.
