Star power
– Running back Jamerson Love had 15 rushes for 227 yards and four touchdowns, and also scored on an 80-yard screen pass to lead Aberdeen to a 52-14 victory over Ray Brooks. Love scored on runs of 3, 34, 10 and 10 yards.

Key number
The number of points Itawamba AHS put up against Amory in the first half of Friday’s game. The Indians scored on every possession in the half, as five players scored touchdowns, including two players that scored twice.

– New Albany QB Tyler Basil was 13-of-19 passing for 136 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for two TDs against Ripley. … Saltillo LB Quad Freeman had 18 tackles and was in on at least one sack against Caledonia. He also had a safety that was negated due to an inadvertent whistle. … Shannon RB Keon McGaughy collected 358 total yards and four TDs vs. Memphis East. He rushed for 322 yards and 3 TDs, and also had a 35-yard TD reception.
