COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Ole Miss women’s golf team was greeted with tougher conditions on day two of the NCAA Central Regional, but still sits in a tie for eighth heading into the final round.
The Rebels were among the morning wave and benefited from the early tee time, that is until the wind started to blow. According to head coach Michele Drinkard, it blew upwards up 30 mph at times. The team finished Thursday’s round with a 319 and stands tied for eighth (626), 21 strokes behind second-round leaders Southern California, heading into the final round today, and just three out of the top five.
