Ole Miss senior Isiah Young earned the SEC Commissioner’s Trophy as
the high scorer at the league’s outdoor championships over the weekend in Columbia, Mo.
Young, a 2012 Olympian, successfully defended his SEC title in the 200 meters and finished second in the 100.
Sophomore Sam Kendricks (Oxford) finished second in the pole vault for the second consecutive year.
Mississippi State’s Erica Bougard added a second place finish in the long jump to her second place in the heptathlon. MSU’s Scottie Hearns was second in the 400m hurdles.
Alabama’s Justin Fondren, from Oxford, was second in the high jump.
The Arkansas men won their third-straight league title while Texas A&M won the women’s crown.
