Rebels, Bulldogs on road today

The Ole Miss and Mississippi State basketball teams take the floor today in SEC road action with each team coming off a loss.

Ole Miss visits Georgia for a 1 p.m. tipoff. The Rebels (10-14, 1-9 SEC) are coming off a 77-65 home loss to No. 8 Tennessee on Thursday.

Georgia lost to Mississippi State 80-67 on Feb. 2.

Mississippi State will be at Auburn for a 2 p.m. start, three days after a narrow defeat to No. 6 South Carolina.

The Bulldogs beat the Tigers 82-74 in Starkville on Jan. 5.

The Bulldogs are just 4-9 at Auburn. The Tigers have won two straight in the series and are 34-16 head-to-head against Mississippi State.

Martha Alwal continues to lead the Bulldogs averaging 15.2 points and 8.4 rebounds. Alwal scored 18 points in the last outing against Auburn.
