DULUTH, Ga. – All-America candidate Bianca Thomas scored 15 points and moved into seventh place all-time in scoring at Ole Miss, but No. 4 Tennessee advanced to the semifinals with a 76-51 win over the Rebels Friday afternoon in the second round of the SEC Tournament from the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Alyssia Brewer scored 21 points and Alicia Manning had 14 points with a career-high 14 rebounds to help the Lady Vols win their 12 straight overall and 17 consecutive in the second round.
Angie Bjorklund added 16 points and five assists for Tennessee, which led by as many 32 points.
Ole Miss’ Kayla Melson, the SEC assists leader, was helped off the floor with 12:29 left in the game after injuring her right ankle. She finished with 14 points and three assists.
