Ole Miss forward Tia Faleru, a 6-foot-1 junior, and Mississippi State senior Martha Alwal, a 6-4 center, were named to the All-SEC first team when The Associated Press released its postseason honors Tuesday.
Ole Miss senior point guard Valencia McFarland was named honorable mention.
Alwal had previously been named to the coaches All-SEC first team and shared the defensive player of the year honor with Texas A&M’s Jordan Jones.
Faleru and McFarland both made the coaches All-SEC second team.
Ole Miss finished 12-20 in its first season under coach Matt Insell.
Mississippi State is 19-13 and faces Tulane at home Thursday night in a WNIT first-round game.
