OXFORD – Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt hopes to see retention from the first spring scrimmage when his players go through the second scrimmage today.
The workout begins at 10:45 a.m., at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and is open to the public.
After a physical practice on Thursday, the Rebels went through a lighter workout in shoulder pads and shorts on Friday.
“The biggest thing we need to see is improvement from the first scrimmage to the second scrimmage,” Nutt said. “We don’t want to make the same mistakes. We need more consistency. We need to be much better catching the ball than we were in the first scrimmage.”
The Rebels will take off on Sunday and will begin their final week of spring drills on Monday. The Grove Bowl is set for April 16 at 1 p.m.
