Ole Miss has moved up four spots in this week’s Associated Press college football poll.
The Rebels are No. 21 in the poll, which was released Sunday morning. They’re one of seven SEC teams in the rankings, with Alabama remaining at No. 1.
Ole Miss is 3-0 for the first time since 1989, a season in which it went 8-4 under coach Billy Brewer.
On Saturday, the Rebels took down Texas, 44-23, behind Jeff Scott’s career-high 164 yards.
According to the Associated Press, Ole Miss is the only team in the country with two true road wins against BCS conference foes. It also beat Vanderbilt, in the season opener.
After an off week, the Rebels are back in action Sept. 28 at Alabama, which has won the last two BCS titles.
