OXFORD – As of today, workouts are no longer voluntary.
Football players, veterans and newcomers alike, will come under the watchful of first-year Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze and his staff as they “report” later today.
Freeze and players will meet with local media for the first time Friday at the team’s campus media day.
Freeze inherits a team that was 2-10 last season, 0-8 in the SEC and begins 2012 on a 14-game SEC losing streak.
The Rebels return seven starters on offense, six on defense and four among their specialists.
Ole Miss begins practice Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. The workout is open to the public, as will be all Saturday practices during the preseason.
