OXFORD – Streaking Ole Miss is climbing in the national rankings as well as the SEC standings.
After winning three at rivals Mississippi State over a weather-plagued weekend and running their overall win streak to 10 teams, the Rebels climbed three spots to No. 11 in Monday’s release of the Baseball America Top 25.
That sets the stage for a Top 15 showdown this weekend as Arkansas visits Swayze Field in a matchup of SEC Western Division co-leaders.
The Razorbacks (35-10, 14-7) lost two at home to Auburn and dropped five spots to No. 14.
The Rebels (33-13, 14-7) are taking final exams this week, and there will be no mid-week games.
Arkansas is currently the SEC’s No. 2 hitting team (.323) and No. 3 pitching team (3.97).
Ole Miss is fifth in hitting (.306) and fifth in pitching (4.28).
