Record turnout set for ICC summer league

FULTON – It’ll be the busiest day yet for the ICC Basketball Summer League for boys teams, on the courts today at the Davis Event Center and the Fitness Center on campus.
“We have 22 teams participating from 17 high schools from all across Mississippi and Alabama,” said ICC men’s coach Grant Pate. “We are excited to see how quickly this event has grown this season and look forward to another great day of basketball.”
Today’s the third day of summer league play at ICC.
Hatley and South Pontotoc will start the day off at 9 a.m., and the last game of the day, Itawamba AHS against Tremont, will tip off at 8 p.m.
Other schools scheduled to participate: Amory, Carbon Hill (Ala.), Corinth, Grenada, Hamilton (Ala.), Lake Cormorant, North Pontotoc, Noxubee County, Oxford, Ripley, Shannon, Sulligent (Ala.) and Tupelo.
The league wraps up next Thursday.
