REWIND: Ole Miss (21-8, 4-5 SEC)

OleMissLogoLooking back: After sweeping Missouri in its first SEC home weekend, the Rebels haven’t won since. They’ve lost four straight, all relatively close: 5-3 to Southern Miss, then at Alabama – falling 7-6, 6-5 in 10 innings and 3-1.

Looking ahead: The Rebels have one mid-week game, Wednesday at 11 a.m. against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Rankings: Ole Miss jumped seven spots to No. 13 after the Missouri sweep but fell just as fast after getting swept in Tuscaloosa. They are No. 23 in this week’s release of the Baseball America Top 25.

In the SEC: Ole Miss is 21-8 overall, 4-5 in the SEC and among three teams tied for third place in the Western Division.

They’re joined by Arkansas and also by Auburn, which visits Swayze Field this weekend. Game times against the Tigers are 6:30 on Friday, 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday.

MVP: Third baseman Austin Anderson was 6-for-12 with a home run against Alabama. He’s hitting a team-high .364 on the year.
