REWIND: Ole Miss (33-12, 13-8 SEC)

OleMissLogoLooking back: The Rebels rebounded from a sub-par offensive outing in an 8-3 loss to Mississippi State in the Governor’s Cup game by having their best SEC series ever.

The 39 runs scored in a sweep of Kentucky – Ole Miss won 12-4, 18-5 and 9-6 – were the most scored by the Rebels in a three-game SEC series, surpassing the previous mark of 38 set against Tennessee in 2007.

Looking ahead: Ole Miss plays at home Wednesday against Southern Miss. The Rebels lost 5-3 to USM in Pearl on March 25.

Rankings: The Rebels jumped five spots to No. 11 in this week’s release of the Baseball America Top 25.

In the SEC: Ole Miss is at home for the next two weeks beginning Friday against Arkansas. Game times against the Razorbacks are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2:15 on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday. The Rebels are currently tied with Alabama for the SEC West lead.

MVP: Center fielder Auston Bousfield hit .714 against Kentucky with four doubles and a home run.
