STARKVILLE – Mississippi State will continue looking for answers when spring drills resume today at 3:45 p.m.
As it stands at the midpoint of the spring, MSU is coming off a Saturday scrimmage that was won by the defense but showed flashes of promise from the offense. Quarterbacks Chris Relf and Tyler Russell remain engaged in a battle for the starting job, while coaches try to sort through a bevy of starting tailback candidates.
There are fewer questions on defense, but the Bulldogs are trying to master the attacking schemes of new defensive coordinator Manny Diaz.
MSU will hold four practices this week: today, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Maroon-White spring game is set for April 17 at 6 p.m.
