Southern Miss, Boise State announce series

HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss and Boise State will play a home-and-home football series beginning in 2012 with a game in Hattiesburg.

The Golden Eagles will make a return trip to Boise State in 2013. The home team will pay the visiting team $200,000 for each game.

The two programs played a home-and-home series in 2007 and ’08, with Boise State winning both games. Southern Miss plays in Conference USA while Boise State recently joined the Mountain West Conference.

Southern Miss also announced it has moved a game against Louisville from the 2012 schedule to an unannounced date in 2013.
