HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Southern Mississippi basketball coach Larry Eustachy is apologizing to Marshall for his on-court conduct in which he was ejected during a recent loss.

Eustachy was assessed two technical fouls after Southern Miss’ Sai’Quon Stone committed a foul midway through Saturday night’s 95-65 loss at Marshall.

Eustachy was ejected from the game and had to have a police escort to the lockerroom.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Eustachy also apologized to Southern Miss and Conference USA. He says in the future, he will “set a better example” for Southern Miss’ student-athletes and fans.
