HATTIESBURG – The Southern Miss football team worked through their first day of full pads for just over three hours on Tuesday.
“It was a great practice – it was a lot of fun,” head coach Larry Fedora said. “Full pads; people were hitting, pads were popping, helmets were coming off.
That was a lot of fun. There were some good licks. The defense definitely got the best of the offense.”
Today, the Golden Eagles will continuing installing their offensive package, as they prepare for a Sept. 3 opener against Louisiana Tech. The team will have two practice sessions on Thursday.
