• The Lee County Tigers Cats pro football team will have a practice session at noon on Saturday at Robins Field in Tupelo. Head coach Daniel Conners invites interested players to attend. The team’s season begins in May.

• The Blue Mountain College men’s basketball team fell to Martin Methodist 82-66 in the opening round of the TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday. Jarvis Fisher led the Toppers (7-22) with 27 points, while Shane Butler (Tupelo) scored 13 and DeVante Pulliam (Houston) 10.

• Blue Mountain College split its conference-opening softball doubleheader with Bethel on Thursday. BMC lost the first contest 2-1 before claiming the nightcap 5-4. Whitney Hardwick (Alcorn Central) homered for the Lady Toppers (5-
7) in the second game.
