Alabama and Auburn both were among the top 5 draws for spring football games in 2010.
The Crimson Tide led the way for the second straight year with an announced crowd of 91,312. Auburn’s official attendance of 63,217 – despite rainy weather – was fourth-best, behind Ohio State (65,223) and Nebraska (77,936).
The numbers for BCS teams were compiled by SportsBusiness Daily.
Eight of the top 15 spring game crowds were supplied by SEC schools, including Florida (6th, 51,500), Georgia (10th, 38,472), Tennessee (11th, 35,000), Mississippi State (13th, 34,127), Ole Miss (14th, 30,299) and Arkansas (15th, 30,000).
Other spring SEC crowds: LSU 23,000, South Carolina 22,000, Kentucky 9,000. Vanderbilt did not provide a crowd figure for its spring game.
