Statesmen’s Kingsley swinging very hot bat

By NEMS Daily Journal

Ben Kingsley, the former Mooreville baseball standout, is swinging a big stick as he nears the end of his college career.
Kingsley, a senior at top-ranked Delta State, is fourth in the Gulf South Conference in batting (.390) – 8 for 11 in his last three games – and
leads the league in runs batted in (50). He’s also second in hits (64) and total bases (94).
Kingsley went 4 for 6 on Tuesday with his fifth home run of the season in
a doubleheader sweep of Henderson State to close out DSU’s regular-season home schedule.
The Statesmen play three games at Valdosta State starting on Friday, with the GSC tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn., starting on May 2.
