BOONEVILLE – Northeast Mississippi Community College golf coach Craig Lauderdale has signed New Albany High School senior Blake Conlee to a letter of intent to play for the Tigers beginning in the Fall of 2010.

“Blake is a great student and he can really play some golf” said Lauderdale. “He is one of the top golfers in the area and we are lucky to sign him after the great performance he had in the state tournament.”

Conlee helped the Bulldogs finish third at the MHSAA Class 4A state golf tournament at the Wedgewood Golfers’ Club in Olive Branch his senior year. He shot a two-day score of 173 (87-86) as New Albany finished with a 702 total.

“I am really excited about getting this opportunity to play golf for Northeast,” Conlee said. “Being able to go to college and further my education while playing a sport is something I have always wanted to do.”
