Trio of groups hosting tennis meeting tonight

OXFORD – Goose Creek Club, the Oxford Community Tennis Association and the Ole Miss tennis program will host an end-of-summer mixer tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., free and open to the public, at the Palmer-Salloum Tennis Center.
Visitors are urged to wear tennis clothes to play in mixed doubles starting at 6:30 p.m.
Speakers will include Ole Miss men’s tennis head coach Billy Chadwick, Goose Creek’s managing partner Barney Chadwick, and David Heckell, president of the Oxford Community Tennis Association.
Heckell will discuss the next step toward the planned $1.5 million expansion of the John Leslie Tennis Center, a cooperative project of the City of Oxford, Lafayette County and Ole Miss.
