Tupelo-Shannon basketball rescheduled for Feb. 2

By NEMS Daily Journal

SHANNON – The Tupelo High boys basketball team was hoping to avenge its loss to Lee County rival Shannon High tonight.
The Golden Wave, however, will now have to wait to Feb. 2 to seek revenge for its 63-56 home loss to the Red Raiders on Nov. 15.
Since Shannon is conducting state testing this week at its school, tonight’s originally scheduled girls and boys basketball home games against Tupelo had to be rescheduled to an open date in February, according to Red Raiders boys coach Cedric Brim.
The games will still be played at Shannon on Feb. 2.
Another move: The Myrtle basketball series at Mooreville scheduled for tonight has been moved to Feb. 2.
