Tupelo’s hoops games vs. SPHS moved to Thursday

TUPELO – The Tupelo High girls and boys basketball teams will make up Tuesday’s postponed games versus Division 2-6A opponent South Panola on Thursday night at Tupelo High School.
The girls game will start at 6, with the boys contest to immediately follow.
The Golden Wave’s soccer matches with Starkville that were also scheduled for Tuesday night will now be made up on Jan. 22 at Tupelo High School. The girls matchup will start at 10 a.m., with the boys set to play at noon.
Because of weather-related school closures, a significant number of other games scheduled for Tuesday had to be postponed.
Okolona High announced that its home basketball games against Tremont originally scheduled for Tuesday night will be played on Jan. 20 in Okolona.
The Prentiss County Basketball Tournament was to get underway tonight, but due to bad road conditions, the start of the tournament will be delayed to Thursday.
