Tupelo’s Max Holman wins Running with the King 5K

TUPELO – Max Holman of Tupelo, an Ole Miss cross country runner, won the annual Running with the King 5K on Saturday morning.
Holman, a rising sophomore for the Rebels, won in 16:13. Geno Phillips, 39, was second in 16:26.
In the past year, Holman – who won multiple track and cross country titles at Tupelo High School – has also won the Jingle Bell Jog 5K and the Green Street Mile in his hometown.
Magan Wilburn, a Blue Mountain College runner from Mooreville, won the women’s race in 22:01. She was 24th overall.
There were 215 finishers.
