FULTON – Itawamba Community College head baseball coach Rick Collier announced Tupelo’s Blake McCullough as the Indians newest signee on Tuesday.

McCullough is a 6’3, 190 lb third baseman for Coach Gary Enis and the nationally ranked Tupelo Golden Wave.

“I’m real excited about becoming an Indian next season,” said McCullough. “It’s a great opportunity for me to be able come to ICC and be a part of a winning program.”

McCullough is currently batting .303 on the season with a .387 on-base percentage and .394 slugging percentage with 15 runs scored and 15 more batted in to help the Golden Wave (25-5) advance to this weekend’s MHSAA Class 6A North State semifinals against Northwest Rankin High School.

“Blake is a great athlete,” said Collier. “Every time I watched him play he really got after it and had some big time hits in crucial situations. He also is a good defensive player and is going to give us a great athlete to work with at third base.”
