Two former USM pitchers making move to Belhaven

A pair of pitchers who played for Southern Miss last season, right handers Geoffrey Thomas and Jonathan Thompson, have transferred to Belhaven to complete their college careers.
“We are very excited to get Geoffrey and Jonathan to Belhaven,” Blazers head coach Hill
Denson said Monday. “They will be a great addition to a very good pitching staff.”
Thomas (10-3, 3.09 ERA) was a first team All-Conference USA pick in the spring. Thompson went 7-1 with a 3.49 ERA.
Both of them ran into academic eligibility issues at the end of the season, however.
